Manufacturing Process

 

Brown Fused Alumina is produced by fusing high-quality bauxite in the electric-arc furnace at a high temperature of above 2250°C. The raw material and carbon material are matched and fused in the electric-arc furnace. The furnace is maintained at a high temperature of above 2250°C to fuse the raw materials and create the desired BFA properties. The resulting product is then crushed, ground, and sorted by size and grade.

Refractory Castables and Rammers

Refractory castables made from BFA are used to line furnace walls and roofs in various industries, including the metallurgical, chemical, and petroleum industries. These castables are highly resistant to high temperatures and provide excellent protection against corrosion.

BFA ramming mass is also used in the refractory industry. It is made by mixing BFA powder with a binder and applying it to the surface of a refractory material. This mass is then compressed to form a solid mass that can be used to reinforce refractory materials.
