High alumina refractory with mullite (Al2O3•SiO2) as the main crystalline phase. Generally, the alumina content is between 65% and 75%. In addition to mullite, the lower alumina content also contains a small amount of glass phase and cristobalite; Higher alumina content also contains a small amount of corundum. High refractoriness, up to 1790℃ or more. Load softening starting temperature 1600 ~ 1700℃. Compressive strength 70 ~ 260MPa at room temperature. Good thermal shock resistance.

Mullite brick is made of imported plate corundum and high purity fused fused corundum as the main raw materials, using advanced ultrafine powder addition technology, through mixing, drying, molding, and firing in high-temperature spindle kiln. Mullett brick is widely used in residual-oil gasifier, second-stage conversion furnace of synthetic ammonia, carbon black reactor and refractory kiln. The shape size, physical and chemical index and service life of the products meet the requirements of customers.

There are sintered mullite bricks and fused mullite bricks.

1. Sintered mullite brick is made of high bauxite clinker as the main raw material, adding a small amount of clay or raw bauxite as a bond, by forming and firing.
2. Fused mullite brick with alumina, industrial alumina and refractory clay as raw materials, adding charcoal or coke fine particles as reducing agent, after forming using reduction fused method to manufacture. The crystallization of fused mullite is larger than that of sintered mullite, and the thermal shock resistance is better than that of sintered products. Their high temperature performance mainly depends on the content of alumina and the uniformity of the distribution of mullite phase with glass.

 

It is mainly used in hot blast furnace top, blast furnace body and bottom, glass furnace regenerator, ceramic sintering kiln, dead corner lining of petroleum cracking system, etc.
