Metal binders - including bronze binders and electroplating binders two categories. Electroplating binder is a bond with higher strength, generally single or multiple layers of abrasive particles plated on the metal matrix by electroplating method, the number of abrasive particles per unit area on the working surface of the binder grinding tool is much higher than that of other several binders, and the abrasive particles are exposed to the surface of the chu binder, so the cutting is sharp and the grinding efficiency is high. However, due to the limited thickness of the coating, the overall service life of the grinding tool is not high, such as the molding grinding tool, small grinding head, nesting knife, electroplating reamer, file and so on. Abrasive products are mainly divided into corundum abrasives and silicon carbide abrasives two categories, subdivided into the following several.
1, brown corundum abrasive, the main component is Al2O3, with medium hardness, toughness, particle sharp, relatively low price, suitable for processing high tensile strength metal.
2, brown corundum abrasive, its hardness is slightly higher than brown corundum, but the toughness is poor, easy to cut into the workpiece when grinding, good self-sharpening, small heat, strong grinding ability, high efficiency.
3, single crystal corundum abrasive, its particles are composed of a single crystal, and has a good multi-edge cutting edge, high hardness and toughness, grinding ability, grinding heat less, the disadvantage is that the production cost is high, the output is low, so the price is relatively high.
4, black silicon carbide abrasives, green silicon carbide abrasives, cubic silicon carbide abrasives, cerium silicon carbide abrasives, etc., belong to silicon carbide abrasive.
