White fused alumina / White Corundum is a high-grade refractory material, which made from high-quality alumina powder by melting above 2000 ℃ in the electric arc furnace and cooling, classified into different grain sizes. The white fused alumina is the main raw material for the production of unshaped and shaped refractory materials.
Our White Fused Alumina Refractory Grades is a high-grade refractory material with high purity, high cleanness, coarse grain, low magnetic contents, high density, high bulk density, chemical stability, and low porosity rate, excellent crystal structure, corrosion, and acid-resistant.
White Fused Alumina is produced by fusing of calcined alumin in electric arc furnaces at a temperature of about 2,000 degree Celsius. It has a high refractoryness and is extremely hard and resistant. According to the final requirements, WFA can be produces in Higgins or tilt furnaces. There are WFA types of different purity with multiple grade sizes.
White fused alumina is one kind of electro-corundum,which produced by alumina in the electric arc furnace (titling furnace or fixed furnace) with temperature more than 2200℃, often, we call it white fused alumina, white aluminium oxide or white corundum.
White Fused Alumina Refractories (White fused aluminum oxide), was made from high-quality alumina by melting above 2000 in the electric arc furnace and cooling. It is white with the main crystal phase alpha-Al2O3. White corundum is a high-level refractory raw material with Al2O3 purity of up to 99%. It can work as refractory castable, aggregate, refractory coating, etc.

Application
White fused corundum is commonly used for ladle casting, iron casting, injection moulding refractory mixes and other monolithic refractory products.
For the moulded refractory materials, white fused alumina is mainly used in the high-grade raw materials of corundum bricks, corundum mullite, porous steel finishing bricks, integral spray guns, steel making and continuous casting industry.
White fused corundum can also be used as material for polishing, precision casting, spraying and coating, special ceramics and high quality refractory materials and so on.
