Product Essence
This is not ordinary alumina powder, but single crystal corundum that is melted and recrystallized from bauxite at ≥2000℃. Its characteristics are derived from:
Crystal growth
Slow cooling to form 10-400μm complete α-Al₂O₃ crystals
Natural impurity removal
Fe/Si and other impurities float and separate during smelting (purity 95-99.5%)
Fractometry control
Multi-angular particles are produced after crushing (enhanced grinding/bonding performance)

Typical composition:
- Brown corundum: Al₂O₃ 94-97% | TiO₂ 1.5-3.5% (toughening) 丨SiO₂ 1-2%
- White corundum: Al₂O₃ 99.2%↑ | Na₂O ≤0.3% (sodium control to prevent explosion)
Physical properties:
- Mohs hardness: 9.2 (second only to diamond)
-Bulk density: 1.7-1.9 g/cm³ (affects the rheology of castables)
- Magnetics: <0.02% (key indicator for precision polishing)
