China's Alumina Production Increased Month On Month in June

The National Bureau of Statistics released a report showing that China's alumina production in June was 7.09 million tons, down 2.3% from a year earlier and up 1.2% from the previous month. From January to June, alumina production was 40.598 million tons, up 1.5%. Alumina production in June increased slightly from the previous month, mainly due to some enterprises in the Guizhou and Chongqing regions finished their maintenance work in June and gradually resuming production, allowing the new production of the overlaid part to gradually increase.

According to SMM's research, alumina production in June decreased year-on-year, mainly due to the shutdown of some costly alumina production capacity in Shanxi, Henan, Inner Mongolia, and other regions.
