Abrasive
There is a wide range of abrasives, from softer household detergents and gem abrasives to the hardest material, diamond. NY TWO's abrasives are sharp, hard materials used to grind softer material surfaces.
There are two types of abrasives: natural abrasives and artificial abrasives. According to the hardness of the classification of superhard abrasives and ordinary abrasives two categories. Abrasives are essential materials for the manufacture of every kind of precision product. Many natural abrasives have been replaced by artificial abrasives. In addition to diamond, the performance of natural abrasives is not stable, but it still has its use value.
Diamond is the hardest abrasive, producing mainly in South Africa, accounting for 95% of the world's total production, the rest is Brazil, Australia, Guyana and Venezuela and other places. Industrial diamond from gray white to black, after grinding can be made grinding wheel, sand belt, polishing wheel and grinding powder.
Since the 1970s, a large number of artificial abrasives have been produced, the most important of which are silicon carbide and alumina. Silicon carbide, commonly known as carborundum, is prepared by mixing pure silica sand with coke and adding a small amount of wood chips into an electric furnace and roasting at 2,200 ~ 2,480℃ for about 36 hours.
Alumina, commonly known as corundum, is commonly used in industry to melt bauxite by electric arc furnace heating, white and transparent as an abrasive for heat-sensitive metals, and black for processing castings and steel.
The hardness of boron carbide is higher than that of silicon carbide, which is not suitable for making grinding wheels, and can be used instead of expensive diamond when polishing hard materials.
NY TWO brown corundum is made from high quality abrasive grade bauxite and auxiliary materials by refining at high temperature above 2250℃ in electric arc furnace. It has good self-sharpness and strong grinding force. The main uses of brown corundum are: can be made of ceramic grinding wheel, resin grinding wheel, grinding head, grinding block, sandpaper, sand belt, emery cloth and polishing wax, abrasive agent, grinding paste, paint and so on.
