Product Introduction

Medium carbon ferromanganese (MCFM) is a type of ferrous alloy containing manganese and iron in combination with carbon. It is widely used for the production of electrodes, especially E6013 electrodes in the steel industry. In addition to its use in the steel industry, MCFM is also used in other industries such as the foundry industry.

In the steel industry, MCFM is used as a deoxidizer and alloying additive. MCFM with high Fe-Mn content or MCFM with high C content, which is produced during refining of Fe-Mn with high C content, can be used in smelting process to produce MCFM electrodes. The ratio of manganese to Fe-Mn is generally greater than 7, and the ratio of phosphorus to manganese is less than 0.003.

In addition to its use in the steel industry, MCFM is also used in other industries such as the foundry industry. MCFM can be used as a deoxidizer and alloying additive in the casting process, which can improve casting properties such as durability, machinability and formability.
