Japan's Imports Of Corundum Sand in April 2023 Increased By 16.75% Year-on-year
In April 2023, Japan imported 9,797.02 metric tons of corundum sand, compared to 8,391.37 metric tons in the same period last year. Last month, the import volume reached 9,361.21 tonnes, showing a year-on-year increase of 16.75% and a month-on-month increase of 4.66%.
The import value of Japanese corundum sand in April 2023 amounted to US $9,877,000.00, compared to US $9,337,000.00 in the same period last year and US $9,185,000.00 last month. This represents a year-on-year increase of 5.78% and a month-on-month increase of 7.53%. The average import price was US $1,008.16 / mt, in contrast to US $1,112.69 / mt a year ago and US $981.18 / mt last month.
From January to April 2023, Japan imported a total of 37,563.86 metric tons of corundum sand, which is a decrease of 6.21% compared to the 40,050.58 metric tons imported in the same period last year.
